This Saturday night local musicians will hold a fundraising concert to help tsunami-ravaged countries. The Zone bar and Drews Cafe will hold the concert with local bands performing rhythm and blues and acoustic music where the proceeds go towards the Red Cross. Co-organiser Terry Sarten said the lineup included PJ Express, TheDave Rogerson Blues Band, Universal Mudtones playing in the Zone bar with Terry Sarten, Aydie Holland plus Riff N Raff. "It will be a great night featuring local singer songwriters doing acoustic material in the cafe with a good shot of rhythm and blues being offered in the Zone bar," he says. "My thanks go to the Zone and Drews for providing the venues and staff and to Tearaway for assisting with the poster," Terry said. The music starts at 8pm and there will be a $10 door charge or $5 for students with ID which will cover the entry costs to both venues. "The Red Cross Appeal runs all through this week. This concert is another way people can support the tsunami relief work and enjoy local live music.
