Readers respond to scamming story

Recently we brought you the story of a scam in which callers pretend to be from the Inland Revenue Department.

[I've] never had one - I always thought it would be fun to lead them on for a while.

I got one Wednesday morning with number on caller display. I googled the number and it originated from India ... As soon as he said tax evasion and court proceedings I knew it had to be a scam.

Have had a few emails from "IRD" telling me I must file a tax return. Very professional in appearance. They provided a few links. I called IRD and forwarded the email to them for their info.
