Honda New Zealand - represented in Whanganui by David Jones Motors - and Victim Support NZ have teamed up again, giving the New Zealand public a chance to win some very good prizes in their annual lottery.
First prize is a Honda HR-VS valued at $30,695. Last year a Whanganui ticket won first prize.
Other prizes include a Breville Oracle Espresso Machine; a solid gold pendant from Michael Hill; a luxury weekend away in Wellington; a Spark iPhone 7; a Panasonic 40 inch LED smart TV; a $500 Westfield gift card, and there is a bonus prize of a Fiji holiday for two, valued at $2239.
All money raised goes to the running of Victim Support NZ, which has a Whanganui office in the Bell St Police Station. Victim Support volunteers assist thousands of people each year to cope with the effects of crime and trauma. They provide psychosocial, financial, advocacy and practical support in the community, including court support, navigating the judicial system, assistance with preparing victim impact statements and parole board submissions. Victim Support advocates for victims' rights.
Tickets for the lottery are on sale at Mitre 10 Mega on October 14 and 15; Trafalgar Square on October 21-23 and 28 and 29; or they can be purchased from Victim Support office at the Bell St Police Station. Eftpos will be available at the venues.
Cost is $5 a ticket or $20 for a book of five.
The draw is on November 24.
