She added they weren't all parents wanting tiny pooches for their children.

Although kittens were still quite popular, puppies had been attracting the most interest, she said.
At the Ginza Bargain Store, people were flocking in to buy lounge suites, televisions, lawn mowers, barbecues, beds, fridges and chest freezers.
Manager Reece Tattersall said stock had been moving fast.
Bike Shed owner Doug Rennie said the big seller this year for them was scooters.
"We have sold so many scooters, they're the absolute in presents this year.
"Everybody's out there on a scooter." Mr Ford said the Apple consumer products retained their dominance in the consumer electronics market thanks to the iPhone, iPod and iPad.
Overall iPhones were the most searched for item on Trade Me.
"We expect they will sell the most strongly up to Christmas."
