Police name victim of Okoia crash, inquiries ongoing

Police have offered condolences to the victim's family. Photo / NZME

Police have named the man who died in a crash at Okoia, near Whanganui, on May 26.

He was 76-year-old David Hauparoa Hiroti.

The two-vehicle crash occurred on No 2 Line between Portal Street and Okoia Road at about 7pm.

Hiroti was an Okoia resident.

“Our thoughts are with those close to him at this difficult time,” police said.

Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
