If you own a classic car and like caravanning, it's a given that what you tow is in keeping with what's doing the towing.
That's why Neil and Nichelle Hughes of Palmerston North bought their Lilliput caravan. The Palmerston North couple are spending a week at Mowhanau Beach camp.
The
colour scheme connection between their 1950s Mark 1 Ford Zephyr sedan and the caravan was a clincher.
"We bought it because it's the same colour and has the same markings down both sides as our Mark 1. And it's all fibreglass, so it's very light and can easily be towed," Mr Hughes said.
Only about 250 Lilliput caravans were made by the Auckland manufacturer from the 1960s to 1970s. There is now a club dedicated to the little caravans.
