The Hospice Boutique shop has moved from one side of Victoria Ave to the other.

Now located at 171 Victoria Ave, it is in in a larger space that can cater for a greater selection of clothing, books, and furniture. The shop still specialises in quality china, pottery, and crystal, and there is a special corner for the Hospice Whanganui Knitting Ladies to showcase and sell their goods.

The move has generated a lot of interest and generosity from the community and businesses.

The boutique shop volunteers say they are thrilled to be in a space that allows for more quality items on display. They hope to attract a new client base while still maintaining the many loyal customers. None of this would have been possible without the generous support of the following:

GDM - provided and installed shop fittings for clothing and books at the rear of the shop. Graeme Kenny and Robert McDougall - builders donating their time and expertise.
All boutique volunteers who worked extra hard ironing, lifting, sorting, washing, polishing, and making endless cups of tea to keep everyone going.
Bob and Jenny McDougall for painting, baking, and anything else that got thrown their way.
Allan Tong Limited for supplying paint and Claudio Petronelli for allowing access to the shop and for being so accommodating.
All the suppliers who juggled their schedule so the shop was able to open its doors on May 8.
Sue Lumsden and Lynda Knofflock for their contribution. Stu Duncan, Samuel Vermeulen, Les Hackett, Stu Adam, and Gordon Maas for transporting donated goods from all over town to the boutique shop.

Thank you to everyone in the community who dropped off goods at all Hospice stores or rang through for free pick up. To all customers who continue to support Hospice without your generosity the shop wouldn't be able to provide this service to the community.

If you have any saleable goods to donate to Hospice shops please call 344 8093, 343 1292, or 348 2302 to organise collection.
