A truck and a horse float collided south of Turakina yesterday, blocking traffic on a busy stretch of highway.
The accident, at the corner of Santoft Rd and State Highway 3, happened about 3.45pm.
The horse float was carrying four horses, which were not injured. None of the occupants of
either vehicle were injured.
Police and fire service staff had to move one of the trucks as it was blocking one lane of State Highway 3, a police spokesperson said.
