The Ministry of Health has reported 78 new community cases of Covid-19 in the Whanganui region.

According to the ministry's update on Wednesday, there were also six people in Whanganui Hospital with Covid-19.

Nationally, the ministry reported 8150 new community cases.

There were 368 people in hospital with Covid-19, and the ministry reported the deaths of 11 people with Covid-19.
