Vanessa Stacey and Lisa Tomlins promise to get the dance floor pumping at Savage Hall next Friday.
If life is like a chocolate box, then next Friday night should be sweet.
Friday, March 10, marks the final fling of this year's La Fiesta festival and Wellington duo Chocolate Box are lined up to sign the festival off in style.
Vanessa Stacey and Lisa Tomlins offer quality vocalsand great beats and should get the dance floor pumping at the Savage Club hall, home of Whanganui Musicians' Club.
Vanessa Stacey, as well as performing regularly in Wellington and at festivals round the country, also has another life as an actress and television director.
Her musical sidekick Lisa Tomlins has sung alongside a roll-call of great New Zealand musicians including Rhombus, Hollie Smith, Shapeshifter, Fat Freddy's Drop, Trinity Roots, The Little Bushman, Eru Dangerspiel, Recloose, Opensouls and Fly My Pretties.
The evening is an open invitation to Whanganui's great women performers (and men who support them) to do short sets as a warm-up to give people time to get their dancing shoes on - so get down early if you want to play and get your name on the board.
The doors will open at 7pm and the music will kick off at 7.30pm with tickets available at the Royal Wanganui Opera House - $15 for adults and $12 for Women's Network supporters and Whanganui Musicians' Club members.
