Property owners in Whanganui's most expensive suburbs just made a packet in the latest property valuations.
St John's Hill and Springvale won big in the E-valuer property estimates with properties in both suburbs rising by more than $32,000.
E-valuer provides an estimate of the current market value for properties but is not a full market valuation and is a service provided by valuation company QV.
St John's Hill properties rose to a median value of $343,300 in the 12 months to September 2017, up 10.6 per cent, while Springvale properties rose to $288,600 — up 12.7 per cent.
The city's lowest-value suburb, Castlecliff, had the biggest percentage increase at 19 per cent. In dollar terms properties rose $25,500 to a median average of $157,800.
