The Wanganui Tennis Club will be holding a "Love Tennis" weekend on September 8-9, free of charge.
WTC spokesman Neville Hopkins said activities will be held from 1pm to 4pm each day and are designed for adults and children of all ages and abilities.
Activities will include a radar gun to see how fast you can serve, a ball machine, games, an adult/children competition, a 'beat the coach' competition, lolly scramble, and mini racquets and nets for younger children.
Equipment will be supplied for first timers, and there will be a demonstration from top players.
Nine courts will be used for the activities, with three courts still available for regular club members for their usual weekend tennis.
