This evening's Hatrick greyhound meeting commences a hectic week of racing activity at the venue.

The meeting will be followed by the Taranaki club hosting their annual meeting with a 15 race card on Monday afternoon (12.50pm first race).

The standard Wednesday afternoon 15 race low grade meeting follows, with the regular Friday meeting again wrapping up the week.

Sunday's $88,000 Auckland Cup finalist Quistis Bale returns to Hatrick racing this evening where she contests the main 520m event (Race 10) for her trainer Matt Roberts.

She was hindered during the early rush for positions in the cup.

Quistis Bale hasn't drawn the best in trap five, however she is a proven 520m chaser around this circuit.

Her kennelmate Cawbourne Trixy adds interest with her presence here by stepping back in race distance after her strong last start Manawatu 660m win.

The Lisa Cole-conditioned trio of Bigtime Caleb, Bigtime Levi and Spare Some Time are expected to deliver competitive races, however the claims owned here by Fusion Cronulla cannot be lightly dismissed.

Trainer Angela Turnwald is returning her charge here after her strong pair of recent Manawatu 457m wins.

Bigtime Sugar is in current career best form for Cole, as seen by his meet-best 17.43s winning 305m time last Friday.

He holds strong winning claims in the main 305m sprint (Race 5).

His kennelmates Who's John Gault and Bigtime Blackie can feature in this dash.

Roberts is returning his consistent sprinter Hypocritical to Hatrick.

He was badly impeded during last Sunday's running of the $28,000 Railway Sprint.

The $6,245 Taranaki Cup is Monday's main event (Race 10).

The 520m race has attracted a strong field which includes the current New Zealand Cup title holder Nature's Gent for Turnwald.

He was an effortless 29.94s last start 520m winner at this venue.

Bigtime Paddy makes his return here for Cole after his luckless Auckland Cup outing.

This holder of a number of sub-30 second 520m gallops around here demands respect in this feature.

Kennelmate Bigtime Vanessa has drawn nicely in the one trap, while Bigtime Levi and Spare Some Time are backing up from this evening's assignment. Also on the back up here are Quistis Bale and Cawbourne Trixy.
