David Clark, the Labour Party's spokesperson for Health, will visit Whanganui and Patea on Wednesday, August 9.
Dr Clark will spend time in Patea visiting health-related organisations and holding a public meeting at 12.30pm in the Patea Old Folk's Hall on Egmont St.
At 5.30pm he invites health professionals and the public to join him in conversation at Whanganui Labour's pop-up shop, 73 Victoria Ave.
Dr Clark will listen to concerns about access to quality healthcare in Whanganui and talk with people about possible solutions.
"Health is a huge priority. It's important that people in the regions have the same access to quality and affordable health services as those who live in the larger centres," Whanganui Labour candidate Steph Lewis said.
