The Marton Swim Centre opens for the season this Saturday.
It will be the Nicholls Swim Academy's fourth season operating the centre and director Trevor Nicholls is expecting a busy one.
The season will again be about a month longer than it used to be.
Since closing the dive well they had been able to redirect resources.
"January is already booked out with visiting swim teams," Mr Nicholls said.
He said the academy had just renewed its contract with the Rangitikei District Council and was happy to have increased its use over the past three years.
"It's just a totally understated facility," he said.
"It's absolutely stunning and to have it in a small town like this, it's mind boggling."
