A century-old couch from what was a snooker room at the Brick House Restaurant has found a new home at the Savage Club Hall.
Craig Falconer was charged with overseeing the move after being offered it by a mate.
"He said you're good at getting rid of stuff. I thought,it's a bit of history going to another bit of history," he said. "He came to see if I wanted it but I don't think my house is big enough."
Mr Falconer, better known as Frog, said he corralled about a six-strong moving party using Facebook and alcohol.
The snooker couch has ripped and torn upholstery but Frog believes it can be restored to its former glory. The building used to house the Wanganui Commercial Travellers' Club.
