Heard of cows on the road?

MOOOVE: A group of cows out for a midnight stroll caused one woman some confusion as she drove past them in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Terianne Edmonds said she thought there was a "bunch of people" on the road as she headed along Putiki Drive at 1am.

"Next minute, there were about 10 cows."

Ms Edmonds said she took a photo and drove slowly through the cows, which turned to follow her car.

She decided to call police, as the cows were only about 10 or 15 metres from the town bridge intersection and had "started making their way to town".

"[The police] kind of laughed and said they would send someone down to sort it," she said.
