Author Mark Wilkinson read his just-published first book to his target audience yesterday - children.
Cheer Up Bryan, about a boy who looks different to other members of his family, was read to pupils at Keith St School.
The central character is not good at any of the things his family is, so he was a very unhappy character. "My idea was to convey the message that everyone is good at something, and it may take a while to find out what it is," said Mr Wilkinson.
Keith St pupils had plenty of questions for the author and also a few ideas to share for future books.
"Who illustrated the book?" one boy asked.
