Opus International Consultants Ltd is relocating its Wanganui office and from Monday will be doing business from the former DoC office on the corner of St Hill St and Ingestre St.
The shift has been prompted for two main reasons - its present office on the first floor of the old Powerco building did not meet the threshold for earthquake-prone buildings, and its space requirements had diminished.
Jenny Harrison, business manager for the Wanganui office, said 21 staff would make the move this Friday. Two other staff would continue working from the Opus laboratory in a building at the back of the old Powerco carpark in St Hill St.
Opus provides services on leading infrastructure projects for both the public and private sectors and the city's office is one of 40 around the country employing a total of 1700 staff.
Ms Harrison said Opus started looking for a new office about a year ago.
