The Braves have yo-yoed about this season and have a record of struggling against higher-placed opposition, but are known for their "never give up" mentality, and will surely take no greater pleasure than stealing points off the Hammers.
The match kicks off at 12.30pm on Ground 7 and I'm picking this one may end up as a draw if the Braves can keep their unique team spirit and unity for the 90 minutes.
In the other matches at 12.30pm in the men's league for the day, Castlecliff United face off against Marist Celtic, who are still in the hunt for top honours with a game in hand, while Collegiate and the Marist Casuals go head-to-head, with both teams feeling confident they can claim maximum points against their opposition.
For the 2.30pm round, Athletic Cosmos get the week off after the St John Castlecliff 1sts defaulted their fixture, gifting three points to the Cosmos to probably secure their spot in the Top 8, while the mercurial Wanganui City Reserves, who will surely have their squad bolstered by their first team playing at home, go up against the Marist Bhoys.
The Athletic Reserves will feel they have three points in the bag when they play the Wanganui City Thirsties, but the Thirsties certainly won't be giving it up cheaply, while the Athletic Weekenders will be hungry to turn around their recent late-match form when they play Castlecliff St Anthony's.
The Saints will also be looking to reverse their recent run of form.
After setting the league alight for much of the season, they have hit a dull patch and have dropped crucial points in their last two outings.
In the women's league, Wanganui High School girls play the Clive Barritt Builders Marist Women, with WHS keen to collect more points and extend their lead at the top, while the Castlecliff Scrappers will also be looking to gather maximum points against the Castlecliff Saints.
The Wanganui City Women will be hurting at the moment, with their match against the Collegiate girls postponed this weekend, the second week in a row they've not had a chance to keep their hat in the ring for the title chase.
They'll have these games in hand at the end of the season, but the time away from matches can hurt a team.
With plenty of action on the fields at Wembley Park, you'd be silly not to get yourself along.
