More than 2000 Easter eggs will be up for grabs at this year's Easter egg hunt.
However, this year's hunt - to be held on April 19 at Majestic Square - takes a very different format from the usual egg hunt.
Supported by Mainstreet Wanganui and More FM, the hunt will see a "tortoise and hare" race, with the "tortoises" (children tied in pairs) chasing the "hares", who will be scattering eggs as they run.
After all the Easter eggs have been collected, the fun will continue with a "Hare Brained Crossword Trail" around the CBD.
This is the second time Mainstreet Wanganui and More FM have combined to hold an Easter egg hunt.
