Malaysia have announced they will continue the search for missing flight MH370 more than ten years after its disappearance. Rain is on the horizon for NZ, as we assist Vanuatu.

Multiple people have been seriously injured in a serious two-vehicle crash in Te Awamutu this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Kihikihi Rd/SH3 at around 4.20pm, a police spokesperson said.

A Hato Hone St John spokesperson said there were eight patients at the scene, including one in critical condition, three with serious injuries, three with moderate injuries, and one with minor injuries.

The road remains closed while the Serious Crash Unit conducts a scene examination.

Motorists are advised to follow diversions and expect delays.
