State Highway 1 reopens near Taupō after logging truck rolls, no injuries reported

State Highway 1 alongside Lake Taupō has reopened after a logging truck rolled, blocking the road.

Police responded to reports of the crash on State Highway 1 in Hatepe at 4.15pm Thursday.

The road was closed for several hours and reopened around 9pm, a police spokeswoman said this morning.

No injuries were reported.

An image of the crash supplied to the Herald showed the logging truck blocking both sides of SH1, with debris scattered around the vehicle.
