Lark in the Park is a fun-filled family day out that's all about man's best friend.
Set up through BARK NZ, a not-for-profit organisation, the fun-packed day promises to have pooches drooling with excitement.
The event will include a dog walk of celebration that will take dogs and their ownersaround Hamilton Gardens and plenty of dog-friendly events and games, such as fancy dress, happiest dogs and owner lookalikes competitions.
And when the pooch finally tires, the family can take a leisurely wander around the sausage sizzle, bouncy castle, face painting and bake stalls.
Lark in the Park will take place on Sunday, March 22 from 11am-3pm at Hamilton Gardens (gate two via Cobham Drive) and all proceeds raised will be donated back to BARK NZ and event co-hosts, Mastiff Breeds Rescue Rehome and Rehabilitation.
Jennifer Chappell from Purina, which is supporting the event, said "We whole heartedly support BARK NZ and what they are aiming to achieve - teaching kids how to behave around dogs and learn how to recognise their signals".
Head along for free, or register your dog to take part. A registration fee of $15 covers the cost of the dog walk of celebration and entry costs to the competitions and games.
All leashed dogs welcome. To enter, email bark@bark.org.nz.
