A person has died following a workplace incident in the Waikato.

Emergency services were called to a commercial address on Peake Rd in Cambridge around 12.30pm on Tuesday, police said today.

TDX Cambridge, a construction equipment company confirmed to the Waikato Herald that the fatality took place at its Cambridge branch.

“TDX regrets to advise that a staff member was fatally injured at the Cambridge branch on Tuesday,” a spokesperson said.

“The company sends its condolences and is supporting the victim’s family and the wider team during this time. TDX is working with police and WorkSafe who are investigating the incident.”
