Marketer Georgia O’Sullivan, 27, and All Black Damian McKenzie, 30, have welcomed their first child.

The Gallagher Chiefs have confirmed to NZME that McKenzie and his partner O’Sullivan are parents of a baby boy.

It was also announced in a media release naming teams for the Super Rugby season debut which said McKenzie was not considered for the first game “after the birth of his first child earlier this week”.

The Waikato power couple only revealed the pregnancy on social media in October, after a family holiday in Fiji, saying the baby was due in February.

“Six months growing our biggest blessing 💛 Mum & Dad incoming February, 2026," O’Sullivan and MacKenzie captioned a photo showing the couple in a tropical setting.

O’Sullivan and McKenzie first confirmed their relationship through an Instagram post in 2024, which O’Sullivan captioned “a decade later”.

Earlier last year, McKenzie purchased a property south of Hamilton. He is understood to have officially taken ownership in May, with O’Sullivan believed to have moved into the house in June.

McKenzie was born in Invercargill, but he moved to Hamilton for rugby.

He made his provincial rugby debut for Waikato in 2014 and debuted for the Chiefs in 2015 and the All Blacks in 2016.

While playing rugby, McKenzie attended the University of Waikato, studying for a Bachelor of Communications.

O’Sullivan is the daughter of horse racing power couple Lance and Bridgette O’Sullivan.

Georgia has studied for a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Marketing and Business Management, at Victoria University of Wellington.

She and her sister Caitlin recently started their own marketing and social media agency called O’Sullivans.

The Chiefs’ first game of the season will be against the Blues at Auckland’s Eden Park on Saturday.

Their first 2026 home game is on February 28.
