A person is being treated for injuries after the vehicle they were driving went off a cliff near Raglan.

Northern fire communications shift manager Jaron Phillips said firefighters were called to Okete Rd at 10.46am after reports of a car plunging down a bank.

The car landed in the Okete Stream, eventually becoming fully submerged.

However, the sole occupant managed to get out safely out.
