“The woman reported missing who was believed to be in the Waitomo or Te Kūiti area has been located safe and well,” Waikato police said on social media.
“Thank you everyone who sharedour appeal.”
Earlier this morning, police released a photo on social media asking if the public had seen Katherine.
She had been visiting New Zealand from Australia and her family had not had contact with her since January 13, police said.
