You are Super Women and this is your day to put your feet up and be absolutely pampered. I hope you've delighted in your interruption-free sleep-in, followed by your favourite breakfast in bed, and
gloried in your candle-lit bubble bath with fresh heated towels. You deserve it, and you'll have heaps of time later to clean up the debris made in the rest of the house to create this special event.
Motherhood is a life-changing experience, which doesn't require a Master's degree or a Doctorate, just a lifetime commitment. It's one of the world's best-kept secrets, starts off with a bang and there's no turning back. It's all about resilience, endurance, communication, nurturing, laughter and, most of all, unconditional love.
Our mother was one of nineteen children. Her mother, my grandmother, was definitely a super woman, giving birth to her last child at the age of 46, spanning 30 years of child bearing. Every day would have been like planning an event, when you think of ringer washing machines, outside cool safes and wet back coal ranges.
