Rotorua police are looking for a man who stole money from the till of the Kawaha Point Superette yesterday.
Around 2.35pm a man pretending to make a small purchase stole money from the till as the staff member went to retrieve some change for him.
Bay of Plenty district police communications manager Kim Perks said there was a short struggle and the man ran from the store with an amount of cash. He ran off towards Koutu.
He is described as Maori, likely in his early 20s, short and of solid build. He was wearing a black hoodie and white shoes.
There were no injuries and no weapon was presented.
