The John Holt Memorial Display House in Cornwall Park was on Monday closed to the public after the front-door window was smashed by vandals.
Hastings District Council said vandals had not entered the building, but a maintenance team had been sent to secure the areas and make repairs.
The council'spublic spaces and building asset manager Colin Hosford said it was the third time in the past week that much-loved council buildings had been hit by vandalism.
"This vandalism follows similar incidents at the pavilion at the Havelock North Village Green, which was targeted twice in the last week.
"Council has made significant investment in these well-loved facilities for the public to enjoy so this kind of vandalism is very disappointing for our community."
The memorial house opened in March 1966 in honour of John Holt. It was given a makeover in 2010 and since has hosted the array of floral and plant displays in the heart of Cornwall Park in Hastings.
Anyone who might have witnessed the acts of vandalism could call the police's 105 non-emergency number, the council said.
