One person has been critically injured after a crash between a van and truck at the intersection of St George's Rd and Hassall Lane near Havelock North, Hastings.
The crash involved a truck and trailer and a van and occurred shortly before 4pm.
A spokeswoman from St Johns Ambulance confirmedtwo ambulances and a rapid response vehicle were deplyed around 3.52pm.
One patient in a critical condition was treated and transported to Hawke's Bay Hosptail.
St George's Road is blocked and diversions are in place.
