A logging truck driver has moderate injuries after a truck and trailer rolled on State Highway 2, north of Napier.

Emergency services, including firefighters and St John ambulance were called to the bottom of a stretch of road known as "Devil's Elbow" near Tutira, about 11.30am.

One lane of the road was open, but traffic was delayed for several hours as a crane was called in to right the vehicle.

NZTA confirmed at 6.20pm that the truck had been cleared and both lanes had been reopened.

The truck driver was taken to Hawke's Bay Hospital.

The crash was one of a spate around Hawke's Bay today as bad weather made driving conditions tricky.

Fire and emergency services were called to a rolled van at the intersection of Middle and Lawn Rds, Clive, Hastings at 11.42am.

St John's ambulance took one person, also in a moderate condition, to Hawke's Bay Hospital.
