Police attended the scene of a crash in Hastings this afternoon where a car and taxi cab collided.

Emergency services were called to the scene at the intersection of Evenden and Ormond Rd at 12.40pm.

A police spokesperson said the taxi driver was treated for a minor cut to the head and the other driver was uninjured.

The road was blocked until 1.30pm and police remained at the scene for just over an hour.


The crash resulted in the cars smashing through a wire fence, coming to rest in an orchard.

The spokesperson said the cause of the crash was unknown.
