Male injured in quad bike accident

The rescue helicopter was today called to a farm near Porangahau for a male in his 60's, who had been involved in a quad bike accident on a steep hill.

It's understood he sustained suspected hip and pelvis injuries, and was treated at the scene about midday by St John Paramedics before being transported to Hawke's Bay Hospital for further treatment.

He was reported to be in a stable condition.
