Police have named the woman found on a beach near Tangoio on New Year's Day. Photo / File
Hawke's Bay Police have released the name of the woman whose body was found near Tangoio Beach on New Year's Day.
She was 38-year-old Renee Karena, of Napier.
Karena's body was found on a private beach known locally as Taits Beach, an isolated area of coast accessed via a remoteroad.
Her car was found later found by police on Napier's beach front Marine Parade. Her death is not being treated as suspicious and has been referred to the Coroner.
