At least five Hastings residents have woken to find their cars charred after a spate of arson attacks.
Police are investigating the attacks, which targeted five vehicles, all happening after midnight.
Three cars, a ute and campervan were deliberately set alight.
Most were parked on driveways, police said, and happened in Donald Place, Beamish St, Lardon Place, Greenlea Place and Lowry Place, in Frimley, Hastings from May to early September.
"We are appealing for residents to be vigilant and to immediately call 111 if they see any suspicious activity around their property," Detective Amy Bryant said.
The detective also asked that locals who had security cameras in the areas contact police as they may have footage which could be usefull in their inquiries.
"Police are determined to find those responsible for the arson attacks and to hold them to account for the damage caused."
Residents were urged to ensure security lighting and smoke alarms were in working order.
