Save A Northland highway closed temporarily to allow a rescue helicopter to land and collect an injured motorcyclist.
Police say the Twin Coast Discovery SH12, 800m South of Waipu Gorge Rd, would close about 4.15pm today while the patient was loaded.
It is understood the man fell from his motorbike and
fractured his legs.
St John ambulance staff at the scene had called for the Northland Electricity rescue helicopter.
