Man killed in quad bike accident

A man is dead after a quad bike accident

A Tararua man has been killed following a quad-bike incident in Dannevirke early this morning.

The accident happened at about 7.20am.

It's not known whether the crash occurred on the man's farm or on a local road.

It's understood he was married with a young family and was a well-known figure in the Dannevirke community.

Emergency services are still at the scene yet no further details were available.
