Northland Sevens squad named

 Northland rugby sevens coach Peter Nock has named the initial provincial squad following the fourth selection tournament at the weekend.

The Western Sharks proved to strong for Moerewa, beating them 24-10 in the final of the Moerewa Sevens. However, Moerewa won the series, with Kerikeri in second spot.

The players chosen will begin preparing for the Black 28s Sevens Tournament at College Rifles in Auckland and the Mount Maunganui Sevens Tournament in Tauranga, with fitness testing at Whangarei Boys High School tomorrow.

The squad will be culled to 12-players by January, when the team will head to the National Sevens Tournament.
