The fourth week of the championship round of premiers has seen some big wins posted.

Active Refrigeration Fideliter 1 defeated Semco Group Onerahi 2 68-18 with Fideliter's Suzie Kingi outstanding at goal defence while Alisha Takimoana, goal keep showed her versatility coming out to play at wing defence for a quarter.

Rowena Davis Cooper - also in at wing defence and goal keep - came up with multiple intercepts and turnover ball. In mid court Lara Tipene and Joanne Davis Cooper combined well displaying their skill and flair in bringing the ball through court at speed.

Tricia Davis and Cassey Rudolph Cooper both had solid games in the shooting circle. Onerahi 2 have been plagued by injuries, struggled to get the ball through the court and into their shooters.

Dana Antunovich was the best of the shooters and Sarah Nicholls, Tracey Stewart and Kim Leemeyer in defence all had their work cut out for them.

In the other big scoring game Treewise Marist Old Girls dominated WGHS 1 winning 53 goals to 21.

For Marist Old Girls, Kelly Middleton at goal keep and Helen Francis at goal defence made it hard work for the young shooters.

Rose Parker at wing defence also had a great defensive first half. It was also good to see Shannon French back on court at centre.

Rose Baker at goal attack had a strong performance mixing it up a bit with a variety of attacking options.

WGHS 1 also have injury concerns and players out, however Kanewa Harrison normally a wing defence and Anna Goodman (playing from WGHS 2) did some valuable work on defence against the Marist shooters.

The middies, Jacinta Matson and Sharelle Toka did a volume of work mid court and never gave up.

The shooters were missing their tall regular shooter however Alisha Walker and Jess Hita both continued to work the circle and to attempt shots. WGHS 1 had a particularly strong quarter in the third quarter and they were able to take some heart from this.

Northland Development Whangaruru and Manawanui 1 had a good tussle and there were only 11 goals in it with Whangaruru winning 57 goals to 46.

For Whangaruru the defence unit of Liahona Hebden and Reanon Hetaraka Sadler worked hard all game. Jaimee Lee Tito at centre also picked up a lot of defensive ball giving Whangaruru bonus ball.

It was a strong shooting game from Morgan Taurua at goal shooter and Shawni Paniona coming on at half time at goal attack combined well with Sophy Tua at wing attack to add speed to the circle.

For Manawanui 1, they had a particularly strong second quarter winning this.

Melanie Leef at goal defence and Ravena Otene at goal keep stepped it up a gear and played well. Sian Telfer at wing attack opened up the mid court and fed the shooters well. Tara Wells at centre played a strong defensive and attacking game. Rhiannon Reti at goal attack worked the circle and shot well.

In the other close game Semco Onerahi 1 beat a fired up Wahine Toa 1 58 goals to 46.
