Congratulations to Joan Erceg and Diane Strawbridge of Kensington Club, who played at the Auckland Open 1-5 Year Singles event last weekend.
Joan was runner-up to Olivia Bloomfield of Point Chevalier and Diane was third equal. Both are members of the Northland under-5 year representative squad - Joan is a fourth-year and Diane a second-year bowler. Well done to you both.

Winners will represent their clubs in the Centre Champion of Champion events later in the season.
Trusts open event
The Trusts New Zealand Open event is to be played in Auckland. Good bowling to all those from our centre who are attempting to qualify for this event, starting on November 19. Singles, pairs and triples are being played all over the Auckland Centre. Some New Zealand representative players and overseas competitors have automatic entry for various events, among them our own Manu Timoti.
The first representative fixture of the season starts December 12-13. Four Northland teams will be in Auckland  hoping to gain a place in the national event later in the season. Last year, we had three winning combinations, which will be a hard act to follow, but I am sure everyone will be striving to  do their best.

Reminder

Centre Pairs entries for men and women close today, at 5pm. This will be the last centre event  before Christmas, so make sure that your entry is in.
The national tournament starts on Boxing Day.
