The North Harbour & Auckland Premier singles were held last weekend in inclement weather and the Auckland singles finished up under cover at the Pukekohe stadium.

Well done to Leanne Stewart and Dennis Brewster (both Hikurangi) who both reached the semifinals in their particular events.

In the women's event, other qualifiers from Northland were Diane Strawbridge, Margaret Gurney and Lauren Mills of Kensington.

In the men's event at North Harbour, the other qualifiers were Kevin Robinson and Wayne Wrack of Maungaturoto club. Well done to you all.

Regional competition takes centre stage this weekend when the representative 1-5 year and 1-8 year teams from Far North, Auckland, North Harbour and Northland take part in the first round of competition.

The men's teams will be playing at Mangawhai and the women at Waipu.
