Whangārei truck crash: Road blocked at intersection of State Highway 1 and Portland Rd

Emergency services are at a truck crash near Whangārei this morning.

The single vehicle crash, at the intersection of State Highway 1 and Portland Rd in Otaika, was reported about 6.45am, a spokesman said.

“Early indications suggest one person has received moderate injuries.

“Portland Rd is currently blocked while the scene is being cleared.”

A Fire and Emergency NZ spokesman said two trucks from Whangārei and Portland stations are at the scene.
