Golfers are given instructions ahead of the fundraising tournament for ReSport Charitable Trust at PInes Golf Club at the weekend that raised more than $19,000.

More than 100 golf players from across Whangārei descended on The Pines Golf Course a little over a week ago to show off their skills and raise funds for an important community charity.

Players came from clubs including The Pines, Northland, Mt Denby, Sherwood Park, and Hikurangi.

They played in the tournament to raise funds for the ReSport Charitable Trust.

The Northland trust is a charity that collects new and gently used sports gear to share with people in need in the community in the Far North, Kaipara and Whangārei.

Altogether. 102 players competed in a three-person Ambrose team format where the best shots from among the group were counted, with 15 volunteers working on keeping players well fed and watered.
