This year, for the first time, you can also meet the Crazy Chicken who, along with her poultry friends, will share the secrets to having great eggs and how to look after her chicken cousins.
Keeping the local flavour, this year Northland's Fantasy Cheerleading team will be entertaining with their award winning moves and routines.
Annual favourites the Highland Dancers will also be on stage with competitors coming from far and wide to compete in 30 dance competitions.
All good A&P Shows have a farming flavour and the Northland District Young Farmers will be competing at the Summer Show this year.
A set of rural-based activities will keep the pressure on as these young people perform for the judges to see who will go through to the Regional Final and then onto the ANZ National Contest next year.
There are also numerous community groups who benefit from the show - either through their participation as volunteers or through their involvement as demonstrators or attractions at the show.
The show is tomorrow and Sunday from 9.30am to 5pm.
