Vox pop on the lifting of Covid restrictions

Marie McCallum, 68, retired, central Whangārei Good...about time. I think it's about the right time for the Government to do it, although I enjoyed the restrictions.

Paul Clarke, 62, unemployed, central Whangārei I don't care. I didn't care when the restrictions were there when people were still breaking the law. The restrictions have been hard on everybody.

Teiringa Matiu, 18, Waiotira, design student I am not too bothered by it, probably because I live out of town. I didn't worry too much when the restrictions were in place.

Pete, 64, Raglan, retired I think it's about time, but people do have a choice. People just have to be aware that Covid is still out in the community. For me, the decision doesn't change anything. The Government is following the rest of the world.

Colin Deacon, 77, retired, Ocean Beach I think it's too soon. I was still wearing a mask half the time, especially when out shopping or while at the doctors. I live by myself and haven't had Covid.
