Transport to be provided for Treaty settlement claimants to attend a Waitangi Tribunal judicial conference at Waitangi on September 10 must be booked by today.
The Crown Forestry Rental Trust is paying for shared rental transport to and from the conference at the Copthorne Hotel about the tribunal's stage twohearings of its Te Paparahi o Te Raki inquiry into settlement of Northland Treaty grievances.
Claimants registering for rides will be asked to provide the names, addresses and phone/email contacts for people wanting transport, along with their Wai numbers and best pick-up points.
Claimants will also be asked about their driving licences and ability.
Registrations close today, vehicle bookings and itineraries will be confirmed tomorrow, and travel plans are to be emailed to claimants by September 7.
