A British tourist was lucky to walk away unscathed when a car flipped and landed on its roof on a fence at Waipu Cove.
Waipu Chief Fire Officer Trevor Vaile said the man was on Cove Rd just before 11am on Sunday, when the vehicle hit loose metal on theside of the road on a bend and ended up on its roof on a fence.
Mr Vaile said the driver was "very lucky" to walk away from the crash uninjured.
