MIRIAM CENTRE
CHILD AND FAMILY THERAPIST

The Miriam Centre is a not for profit charitable trust established in 1988 situated in Whangarei, but providing services
across Te Tai Tokerau Northland. We work with people struggling with some of life's most difficult issues.

We are seeking a talented experienced senior specialist Therapist to work within our extremely busy multi-disciplinary,
bi cultural team of 11 counsellors, therapists, social workers and social change practitioners.

The successful applicant will be experienced in providing an intensive wraparound "whole of problem,
whole of solution" intervention, (immediate and post trauma assessment and therapy).
Be comfortable and talented in working in the difficult field of trauma, violence and abuse, stress, addiction and other downstream coping behaviours. Experienced and talented in working with children, young people, adults, family whanau, groups and communities, Maori and non Maori assisting them to identify, face, address and thus to heal.
They will be enthusiastic to be part of a very busy committed, but fun team of colleagues, energetic and hardworking. Have a clean driving licence and be happy to work throughout Northland.
